Sketches: Shaker Barn Museum

The goal of this project was a museum, at the site of the American Shakers' Great Barn (which was to them as the Eiffel Tower is to the French), showcasing Shaker culture and history.

These sketches are from my research into Shaker forms, and the conceptual phase of the resulting building.

I sought to celebrate the Barn's structure by articulating the construction of the form, and built on the foundation of the old Barn to strengthen the historical connection.
